Start of the Summer of Vintage!
We are in the small lull in the summer where we aren’t right next to a tiki convention getting ready (check out Delandtiki.com to see what we have been up to!) so its time for me to start slamming some new things into the vintage shop. There is so much to get through that it’s not the nice and neat collections I like to put together- it is more like a vintage crazy free for all while I get through all the stuff I have accumulated in the last couple months. Lots of good bargains and investment pieces alike, and everything comes with the best offer option! Always free shipping and plenty more coming next week!

Welcome to the Cardigan Shop
As I’ve slowly switched around my approach to the vintage biz, going from roll the dice auctions to a more well curated online vintage shop, one of the things I have wanted to do is have sections of my store that repeat clients can count on to find staple vintage pieces that can work easily to any style wardrobe. Since we are a mere couple weeks from the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender it seems like the perfect time to debut the first of many.
Being a Floridian I can only ever count on it being cold enough any given winter for a decent sweater set. There are many years that the heavy jacket never sees the light of day. For those of you in less hellishly humid tropical locales, you actually get to wear these in the fall and spring too. I didn’t always pick up every vintage sweater I stumbled across, since the flashiest ones were the ones that attracted bidders, but I’d like this section of the shop to be a place where my customers can come and know that there are many vintage pieces to choose from. I spend months sometimes trying to find the perfect sweater to match a vintage dress, so this is a pretty neat shortcut when you have the fashion but want to be ready for a chilly night. I will also be adding some of my husband’s hand carved custom sweater clips with a big discount if you buy a sweater and a custom clip. Pretty neato!

I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to getting on items for you Rockabilly guys and gals and the big weekend coming up. I will be out there too so I know the wardrobe planning that is taking place this week! Next an update on the other great items I am listing, and then we will be moving into the Go-Go 60′s with a stack of stuff headed for the Mod Shop!
It’s all Hawaiian in the shop today!
After an enormous clearance sale and clean out of the ol’ vintage closet, it was finally time for me to make room for some new stock in the June-Cleavage shop. I’ve decided to break things into collections, mostly for my own amusement, but my choices in merchandise tends to run in certain themes.
This one today is a no brainer as we have a “No Tiki Left Behind” policy at the Tanner household, and that extends to any and all vintage Aloha wear. I know the fine souls that wear a lot of this stuff, and its getting close to the Hukilau and the kick-off of great tiki events all over the country this summer. There is no better way to get ready for that than to add all the Hawaiian garb to the top of the que.
- Love the color combo on this and its in unworn condition!
- Will be more bombshell on a curvier dame- but bright and ready for spring!

- Little Tiki-Little Mickey. Perfect combo for a Disney Cruise or some time at the Polynesian!
- Between Mod and Tropical, all I know is you would look fabulous sipping a fruity drink in it!
- Beautiful blue on a Ladies Aloha shirt
- Key West Handprint Dress, Same as Lilly Pulitzer of the same era, and in a rare plus size
- Just check out the print on this coverup. Good enough to get this just to chop up the fabric for your tiki room
- Vintage Sear’s Hawaiian with a bold Mod print
- Sexy slit on the side, in the brightest barkcloth gets
- Hawaiian dress with almost a 60′s Vera vibe to it
- Little abstract outrigger canoes on this watercolor printed shirt
- TIKIS! Beyond rare and it could be yours
- Where they went meek with the print (not!) they made up for it with double the ruffles of a normal dress
- Cut for the ladies. Put on a pair of capris and your set!
All these items will be posted to Ebay within the next 24 hours, although in the next few months I will be slowly building a presence of Etsy too. Never too many places to let people know what cool stuff you are ready to part with. There will be a Men’s Hawaiian update this week along with a bump up of anything and everything I might have that people going to Viva Las Vegas might want to strut around. We will be out there this year too (woohoo!) so it would be really neat to see someone wearing something I have sold!
Some Mid-Mod Items in the shop!
I am in a frenzy this week taking pictures of the hundreds of items I have put aside for the shop. There will be a lot of clothes but I decided to start with some special items I have scored the last few months.

Merry Modern for Christmas!
I thought now was the time to list some fabulous gifts for my modern loving fans. Many of these are things I have collected over the years but with 2 little people running around I can let some of my nicer things go to homes where they might be safer! Because modern is precious but hard to explain to a 2 year old! Some of these are auctions too- so you have a chance to get some good bargains.
